To enable the appropriate use of learning activity data recorded in UTokyo LMS (UTOL) and to support research aimed at improving education and learning, we will ask students to provide their prior consent.
When you access UTOL for the first time on or after 13:00 on May 12, 2026, a screen will be displayed asking you to indicate whether you agree or disagree.
Of course, consent for research use of your data is entirely voluntary. Even after giving consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Furthermore, data will be appropriately managed to ensure that individuals cannot be identified, and provided only for research projects that have been approved by the University’s research ethics review board.
